Delete an account

If an account is no longer needed, delete it. The registrations of its participants are kept in pseudonymised form for places, statistics and receipts.

Prerequisites

  • Account type Admin. For admin accounts you must be a super admin, for participant accounts you need the role View and create participants.
  • If the person demands erasure under the General Data Protection Regulation, use Handle an erasure request. Only there is the erasure linked to the request.
  • If the account's participants are to be kept, detach them from the account first.

Steps

  1. Select Accounts.
  2. In the search field, enter the name or the email address, e.g. name@example.org.
  3. In the account's actions menu (⋮), select Delete.
  4. Read the notes on participants, registrations, open fees and organizer profiles.
  5. If the dialog mentions open fees, close it. Settle the fees, e.g. with Record a cash payment, or remove the payment obligation. Then open the dialog again.

Warning

Deletion cannot be undone. fepli sets registrations for upcoming offers to withdrawn without notifying the family; the places go to the waiting list. Open fees can no longer be settled afterwards.

  1. If the dialog mentions consents that remain in force, turn on the consents the person withdraws with the erasure.
  2. Select Delete account.

The actions menu of an account in the Accounts list, in front of it the dialog for deleting.

Result

The account and its participants are deleted. Organizer profiles are kept, and consents without a tick remain in force. An objection to the measuring of email opens is kept with a hash of the email address. The log of the data subject rights records the erasure with the identifier instead of the name.

If it does not work

ProblemRemedy
The dialog reports “Processing restricted”.Processing is restricted for the account or one of its participants. Delete only if the person demands it themselves, and then through Handle an erasure request.
A family cannot delete its account on the website because open fees are shown there. The family pays the fees on the website under Payments. If it is not to pay anything, remove the payment obligation (Remove a registration's payment obligation). Delete account then appears on the website again.
The link for deleting is no longer valid. It is valid for 60 minutes from sending and only for the email address it was sent to. The family signs in and selects Send deletion link again under Delete account (Accounts: On the website).
