Restrict a registration phase to access codes

If only certain families are to register in a registration phase, e.g. locals in an advance window, restrict the phase to access codes.

Prerequisites

Account type Admin.
There is an access code strategy with codes. Guide: Create access codes.

Steps

In the sidebar, under Seasons, select the season.
Switch to the tab Edit.
On the left, open the page Phases.
In the card of the registration phase, under Registration with access code only, select the strategy. The card is in the section Registration process.
Select Save.
Pass the codes on to the families. The families enter them in the participant account for the respective participant.

Result

During the phase, the website shows the field “Access code for {season}” for each participant. Without a valid code, it reports “This offer requires an access code. Enter the access code in your profile.”

If it does not work

Problem	Remedy
The family sees “This access code is not valid or has already been redeemed.”	The code is missing in the strategy, differs in upper and lower case, or has reached its Usage limit. Check it in the strategy (Settings: Access codes).
The family sees “Too many invalid access codes. Please try again in an hour.”	After several wrong codes, the website checks no code for the time being (Entering an access code). Clarify the correct code with the family; they enter it once the hour is over.
No registration is possible in an advance phase with First come, first served.	A phase with First come, first served waits for the end of every phase Allocation of places that does not start after it. Place the allocation after the advance phase: Phases: Dependencies.
